ABOUT
KARA KOWALSKI
Personal Trainer
I've been training people for about 15 years. In January of 2014, I finally decided to get my official personal training certification though American Council on Exercise (ACE). By 2016, I managed to make it a full-time career.
I started playing tennis when I was 7 years old, and it quickly led into other sports - softball, basketball, skiing, volleyball, racquetball, rock wall climbing, mountain biking. I started working out in a gym when I was 13 years old to help deal with the tragic loss of a family member, and I have loved lifting weights since the day I started.
Once I discovered volleyball, I found another passion and continued to play through college for Salisbury University, a NCAA Division III school. I won several awards and broke school records during my four years at Salisbury. After graduating with a BS in Business Administration, I opened a women's only fitness center called, "It Figures", with my parents, and helped hundreds of women start fitness programs. I ran that for 4 years, and then went to work for LA Fitness where I sold thousands of fitness memberships, and began training Autistic kids on the side in their homes.
After 10 years of training friends (and friends of friends), I was ready to take my passion for fitness to the next level, and make it my career. If you, or someone you know, is ready to live a healthier lifestyle, I can help. We will work together to set goals, discuss exercise history, health history, and come up with an individualized exercise program using a variety of equipment. I train clients in my in-home private fitness studio and outside (weather permitting). Whether your goal is to lose weight, tone and firm, gain muscle, increase cardio health and endurance, and/or get help with your nutrition, I can help you. I'm ready when you are!
